When the FELICIA YFPC series electric turning gear is in operation, the motor is connected to the reduction gearbox via a coupling. A pinion is mounted on the output shaft of the reduction gearbox; this pinion meshes with a ring gear, which is mounted on the shaft of the equipment to be turned. When the motor rotates, it drives the gearbox via the coupling; the gearbox then drives the pinion, which in turn drives the ring gear and the shaft of the equipment being turned, thereby enabling the equipment to be turned and started.
